Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP), the premier professional summer theatre of northwest Illinois, will feature Dolly…And Friends during the May Concert Series. Dolly…and Friends features the music of Dolly Parton and appearances by some of Nashville’s greatest talents all portrayed by Nashville recording artist and local performer, Brooke Byam and friends.

Brooke was born and raised in Clinton, IA. She grew up in a log cabin and loved listening to country music. At an early age you could find Brooke singing along with Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline records.  At 3 years old, Brooke had her first stage appearance at a supper club called Woody’s Rendevous. She sang “I Just Called To Say I Love You”.  At the early age of sixteen, one of her songs made it into a 20th Century Fox movie, in which Brooke had the opportunity to perform her song in the movie.

Performing with Brooke for the concert will be JaCi Leigh, Eli Traum and Marques Morel.  The band includes Riley Horton, Karl Ropp, Steve Dietz, and TLP Executive Director, Dan Danielowski. Dolly… and Friends is a TLP Production.  It runs May 17 and 18 at 7:00 and May 19 at 2:00.

TLP continues their Concert Series by welcoming Dancing Queen – an ABBA Tribute on May 11 at 7:00.  Dancing Queen is quite literally the most accurate ABBA tribute band in the country. With painstaking attention to detail, they’ve recreated an ABBA experience that won’t soon be forgotten.  Fronted by two dynamic ladies with angelic voices, and backed by a group of world class musicians, the music of the greatest pop band in history comes to life in a Las Vegas type show that mesmerizes the viewer, both young and old alike.

On May 24, Timber Lake Playhouse welcomes back Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos for a one-night show.  Dueling Pianos is an All-Request Show.  Sinatra to Gaga, Bublé to Bieber, Felix and Fingers makes sure that everyone is singing and dancing. This all request show assures that everyone in the audience will enjoy the evening regardless of age, gender, and musical preference!

Other TLP concerts include The Four C Notes, a Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons Tribute on September 7 and a return appearance of Heartache Tonight, An Eagles Tribute on September 28.  Tickets for all concerts are $25 for general public and $20 for TLP subscription holders.

Don’t miss TLP’s opening event, Worldly Delights – A Night In The Mediterranean on Friday, May 3 at 6:30 pm.  This event will be held in the theatre at the Timber Lake Playhouse.  Tickets for this event are $30.
