New Home Office for Ascentra Credit Union
To commemorate the completion of the radiant new Ascentra Credit Union Home Office and branch, a special ribbon cutting celebration will take place on Monday, Aug. 26 at 4:00 p.m. at 2019 Grant Street, Bettendorf.
“Our previous space served us well for over 28 years but we needed more space to house our heart of the credit union support staff for our 10 branches spanning from Clinton down to Muscatine and our over 39,000 member-owners,” said Dale Owen, Ascentra President and CEO.
This project saw a $10 million investment that retained 55 jobs and brought over 30 more to downtown Bettendorf. Ascentra expects to add another 40 jobs to this location over the next 10 years.
“We are extremely honored to have played such a vital role in the development and construction of the new home office for Ascentra Credit Union,” states Jim Russell, President and CEO of Russell Construction. “This state-of-the-art facility is the first of many projects that will transform downtown Bettendorf into a premier destination along the banks of the Mississippi River.”
The 40,205 square foot structure stands four stories high and features the brand’s orange accents that can be seen across the river and along the I-74 Bridge. Inside, you will find an open concept with collaborative workspaces, fun zones, and breathtaking views of the Mississippi River.
The project was done in accordance to an IMPACT Agreement to ensure a timely and quality construction that benefits all partners involved.
Along with the new retail branch, the first floor will house the Lensmeyer Learning Center for educational seminars and gatherings. The full-service financial center will include, retail, mortgage and member business lending services, insurance through our partnership with TruStage Insurance Agency, LLC, and expanded offerings by housing Ascentra Retirement & Investment Services and First Community Trust, N.A. to assist members with their investment and estate planning needs. The first floor also houses Ryan Jantzi, Executive Director of the newly formed Downtown Bettendorf Organization.
The ribbon cutting on Aug. 26 will kick off a week-long celebration inviting everyone to stop by and register for a chance to win an Apple Watch, Air Pods, a kids electric car, and a certificate for a Trek Bike.
“The impact of this project goes beyond our staff and members. Our neighbors and region stakeholders are just as excited to see how we’ve put the Quad Cities Chamber Q2030 Regional Action Plan into motion,” said Owen.
