Revenue Management Solutions (ITG-RMS) announced that the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) will install the company’s Employment and Income Verification (E&I Verify) information system starting Feb 1, 2019, to consolidate all current verification methodologies into one unified system. E&I Verify is free to employers
and allows the Agency to meet the requirement that all social assistance applicant’s employment and income information must be verified before distributing benefits. Iowa DHS performs approximately 155,000 verifications annually across nearly 7,000 employers. “Unlike other verification systems, E&I Verify only allows access for government purposes. Meaning, your employee’s data is not available by subscription or otherwise exposed to commercial entities,” said Robert Leibrandt, Chief Operations Officer at ITG-RMS.
Positive Customer Impact
Iowa DHS adopted E&I Verify to reduce its costs and improve its coverage for automated responses. Traditionally, the Agency fulfills a significant number of verification requests by fax, email, and phone. Eliminating the manual verification process will enable a faster review of social service applications, allowing Iowa residents to get the assistance that they need promptly.
For businesses, the process of verification will change from responding to individual inquiries every time its employees apply for a new benefit to providing full information once and then validating that information at regular intervals. Businesses may also establish Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to push informational changes directly to E&I Verify. Additionally, ITG-RMS can work with a business’ payroll processing service to obtain the information. From these validation approaches, Iowa DHS personnel will be able to perform near real-time verifications.

ITG-RMS will be contacting employers who have had a history of verifications throughout the coming months. Mr. Leibrandt anticipates that this free service for employers will have a huge benefit for all companies, but particularly those in food service, retail, education, manufacturing, and health care.
