• CCC Visiting Artist as part of ENCORE

    Clinton Community College is pleased to announce upcoming performances for the 2018-19 Visiting Artist season. This is the 45TH year that CCC has offered these performances for the community as part of the Quad Cities Arts, a program that strives to make the program accessible to people of all walks of life, including students, seniors, and working people. Performances will be held in both Clinton and in Maquoketa throughout the year.
     
    The next scheduled performances is:
     
    Marian Anderson String Quartet – Wednesday, March 27, 2018 – Noon – CCC Technology Center, 1951 Manufacturing Drive, Clinton, IA. 
    This performance will be part of ENCORE – ENrichment COurses for REtirees – A Spring Tune-UP! held from 8:30 – 2:00 p.m.
     
    As winners of the 2008 Chamber Music America Guarneri String Quartet Award, the Marian Anderson String Quartet is at home in both the concert hall and the classroom.  With venues from the Library of Congress to soup kitchens and juvenile correction facilities, the Marian Anderson String Quartet continues to uphold its mission to create new audiences for American Chamber music.
     
    Other presentations during ENCORE, the day focused on retirees, include a travelogue by Dr. John and Martha Bonte about their recent trip to South America, lunch provided by the Clinton Community College Paul B.
