If you needed long-term care, would your family know your wishes? What types of care are available in your community, and what are the costs? Would your family know where to find important documents needed for your care? What resources are available to assist with care as you age?
Get the answers to these questions, and much more through a series of educational workshops presented by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and The Alverno Senior Care Community. By planning ahead, decisions can be made and a plan developed that works well for everyone involved. The workshop series includes development of a notebook of financial records, presentations by community experts, case studies and lots of discussion.
    Sessions include:
    •             Understanding Where to Begin
    •             Planning Essentials
    •             Paying for Care
    •             Communicating Effectively and Community Resources
The sessions are February 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m at The Alverno Senior Care Community, located at 849 13th Avenue North in Clinton, Iowa. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration, which is regularly $35, is free due to a sponsorship by The Alverno.
