Arts at the Arb
“Arts at the Arb” is a two-month festival that finds itself at the intersection of nature and art. This unique display, from August 1 – October 2, 2016, will be nestled into the 14-acre Bickelhaupt Arboretum at 340 South 14th Street in Clinton, Iowa.
In addition to art being on display, workshops, lectures, and self-guided tours will be offered. Tours will be free and open to the public during the two month event. The grounds are open from dawn til dusk.
During this period, two local artists, Robyn L. Smith and V. Skip Willits, will display their unique art on the grounds of the Arboretum. Robyn L. Smith is an observational artist; she will display artistic flags and sails. The sculptor, V. Skip Willits, will install sculptures throughout the Bickelhaupt Arboretum. The two artists will collaborate on a work of art.
“Arts at the Arb” will be celebrated from August 1 – October 2, 2016, with several special events throughout. The festival is for all ages and all levels of art appreciation with nature as the backdrop.
Self-guided maps will be available at the Arboretum at the lower parking lot kiosk. The public is encouraged to come and explore!
