The B-rrry Scurry IS the greatest little race in
the Midwest. Nearly 800 runners and walkers know that and YOU
can, too! Clinton Community College will celebrate the 31st
Annual B-rrry Scurry 4-mile race on Saturday, February 4, 2012.
This is one of the area’s favorite winter events and all runners
and walkers are invited to join the fun! LIKE our Facebook page
and see pictures of past races including a great video of B-rrry and
B-ronda dancing together.
All participants receive the official,
originally-designed TECH race shirt (runners will LOVE this shirt!),
have their names listed in the Clinton Herald, are eligible for some
great door prizes, free refreshments after the race, and entry into the
post-race party at a local establishment.
Special medallions bearing the image of B-rrry
Bear, the official race mascot, are presented in 13 age divisions for
both men and women. REGISTER and begin your training for the

Mark your calendar for the Annual Bald Eagle
Watch on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Always a family favorite,
visit Clinton Community College to learn more about our majestic
neighbors then tour the lock and dam to see the eagles in their native
habitat.
The American Bald Eagle visits the Upper
Mississippi River National Wildlife & Fish Refuge each year from
late fall through early spring. As many as 25,000 bald eagles
winter along the Upper Mississippi River from St. Paul, Minnesota to
St. Louis, Missouri. Our program is dedicated to the
understanding, appreciation and protection of our national
symbol. Naturalists will be on hand to share their enthusiasm and
knowledge of these and other grand birds of prey.

CCC Alumni Association Trivia Night -
Friday, January 20, 2012
Teams are gearing up for the 7th Annual CCC
Alumni Association Trivia Night on Friday, January 21 event to be held
in the CCC Auditorium, starting with registration at 6:30 and play at 7:
00 p.m. $100 is awarded to the first place team, with $50 going
to the team that finishes second. Cost is $10 per person, 4
– 8 people per team, with mulligans available for purchase.
Teams can bring their own refreshments.
The Clinton Community College Alumni Association
organized in October, 1981. The CCC Alumni Association present
four scholarships each year with awards from $200 to
full-tuition. They are the Alumni Member scholarship, Alumni
Endowed scholarship, the Alumni Recognition scholarship and the Alumni
Association Honor Connie Seifert Memorial scholarship. Each year
the CCC Alumni Association hosts events on campus such as the Student
Leader Luncheon and the Outstanding Awards Reception and Presentations
during Graduation in May.

established name in modern dance with a reputation for creating and
presenting the sensual, articulate, and exquisitely musical works of
Pascal Rioult. Born in to the American modern dance tradition,

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is hosting ENCORE *
PRESENTS… A SENIOR SringTuneUP on Tuesday, April 3, 2011 from 8:
30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Clinton Community College Technology
Center (Graphic Arts Technology Center) - 1951 Manufacturing Drive,
Clinton.
ENCORE is Enrichment Courses for Retirees.
This is an opportunity for you to come together for a day of
entertainment and enrichment. There are several top-notch,
informative speakers scheduled throughout the day. We hope you
are able to spend the day with us, get tuned up for a great summer
season, sit back, enjoy yourself and lunch is provided! This

Cougar Basketball
The CCC Cougar Basketball season continues with a
home game January 11 versus Northern Iowa Community College at 7:30
p.m. at Yourd Gymnasium, Clinton. Coach Joe Shovlain’s team
brings an exciting game to the court. Come out and cheer on the
Cougars!
